Description:
Students will create various compositions with Prismacolor colored pencils, acrylic paint on canvas, and graphite pencils. Themes will include nature, architecture, portraits, realism & surrealism. Students are presented with thematic options and encouraged to develop skills in class and at home between classes as time allows.

Description:
Students will select a media to focus on each month including oil paint, digital painting, acrylic & watercolor painting, Prismacolor colored pencil & graphite drawing. Specific curriculum is student driven in a cooperative format with the instructor. Individual themes and media improvement plans are in place for artists to elevate their current skills and product.

Creative Art & Craft Combinations Studio allows artists to design and create original art and craft pieces! Students learn various art techniques and skills while creating unique items inspired by their own imagination, the changing seasons, or teacher suggestions. We make use of fine art and common craft materials. Artists paint, print, sew, weave, and use resin, beads, wire, and clay. Kids will create stunning work to take home and proudly display, develop essential fine motor skills, enhance concentration and attention to detail, and build self-confidence through hands-on learning and experimentation. All materials will be provided. After brief technique instruction, artists choose their media, engage their imaginations, and CREATE!.Schedule is subject to change based on the child’s interests

Mixed Media for Kids allows children to experiment with various art materials and techniques. Through exploring different media, young artists learn to combine artistic elements to build dynamic and visually captivating artwork. We explore painting, drawing, printing, collage and sculpture. Participants use paint, ink, pastels, plaster, found objects, clay, wood, paper, cardboard, fabric, wire, and more! This class allows kids flexibilty to pursure subjects and media of interest. Artists learn about elements of art while gaining confidence in artistic choices and creating work they love. Imagine, Create, and Play allows children to explore their creativity and express themselves through various artistic media. This class provides a supportive and encouraging environment where young artists learn different techniques and styles of art, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. We will focus on the process and fun of creating art, and students will be free to learn hands-on! We will paint, print, sculpt, collage, and more! Each session introduces new media and ideas, so artists are encouraged to continue if they participated in a prior session! Imagine, Create, and Play fosters a love for art, cultivates the students' artistic skills, and encourages them to explore their individual creativity in a fun and educational setting.
