HEART OF THE DANVERS ART MAY 2020

 For April 2020 let me introduce you to the art of Robert P. Marcellino. If you haven't seen his work before, buckle up! He has won MANY awards for his work, and it's breathtaking. Not only that, he gives so much of his time to the DAA for events, and to the Association, as he sits on the Board. We couldn't do it without him! Here is more about him in his own words....

"I am endlessly inspired by New England’s native beauty, having lived most of my life along the Massachusetts Coast. I watch it all, from the way the natural light plays off the ocean, marshes and dunes, to the bright hues, forms, and the textures in my very own English garden. Changing seasons and times of day are age-old wonders for the landscape painter, and every moment of day in my region is subtly---or radically---different from every other.

Further inspiration comes from the entirely different landscapes I observe in my travels. What my eyes take in, both at home and further afield, kindles an enduring passion to recreate the mood, light and color that I discover in the varied beauty of our world.
My paintings are unapologetically romantic, springing, as they do, from the ongoing joy of my explorations of the landscapes in which we live."

 HEART of the Danvers Art! For November, we are highlighting Diana Sanders!
Come to our next show and see the amazing art by Diana, and here is what she says about how she got started...
"25 years ago when we had a new home built, we realized there was a very large eyebrow window above the tub. We decided to cover it in stained glass, took lessons, and executed this large (65” X 36”) project. Then my son wanted a stained glass piece (48” X 36”) with a lighthouse, but requested his house be in the design. Now I had to take drawing lessons which lead to painting lessons. And so it started. When I am painting or designing a window, I am so zoned out that the world just goes by…."
